The 2nd International Conference on Maqasid Al-Waḥy and the Future of Interdisciplinary Scientific Research
Virtual Conference
August 26-27, 2026
Virtual Conference
August 26-27, 2026
Theme: “Operationalising Tawhidic Teleological Methodologies for the Islamic Human-Acquired Sciences”
The Maqasid al-Wahy International (MAFIS) conference series is dedicated to advancing scholarly engagement with Revelation (wahy) as a source of methodological guidance for contemporary sciences.
Building on the foundation of the inaugural 2025 conference, MAFIS 2026 focuses on moving from theoretical discourse to operational research methodologies. We seek to address the gap in developing and demonstrating research methods including problem formulation, design, data interpretation, and validity criteria that are explicitly shaped by Tawhidic principles and the higher purposes of Revelation.
This conference aims to break new ground by shifting from “debating frameworks” to “operationalising methodologies”, showcasing how Islamic research grounded in Revelation can produce actionable, purpose-driven scholarship for real-world applications in the human-acquired sciences
